X-CYCLONE® Ventilation Ceilings
Kitchen ventilation ceilings for the catering trade and the food industry
Our multi-functional ventilation ceilings are made of stainless steel and extend from wall to wall. They are designed and manufactured according to your site conditions. Thanks to the REVEN® control technology, the supply and exhaust airflow rates can be adjusted individually in the different cooking zones even with large ventilation ceilings.
Tailored to your requirements
Our expertise concerning ventilation ceilings
- For decades, REVEN has gained experience in the design, manufacturing, and installation of individually fabricated ventilation ceilings in compliance with DIN EN 16282.
- Thanks to the patented REVEN® Air-induction System, the exhaust air is driven to the separators of the kitchen ventilation ceiling instead of escaping into the room.
- Our patented high-grade X-CYCLONE® Separators are maintenance-free and extremely efficient with separating rates of up to 99.999 %.
- You have special requirements concerning space and the structure – we design the appropriate ventilation ceiling for you. And be sure that we can solve any problem in this respect!

Frequently Asked Questions About Ventilation Ceilings
Here you will find answers to the most important questions about our products:
What is a ventilation ceiling and how does it work?
A ventilation ceiling is an enclosed suspended ceiling system for commercial kitchens that integrates supply air and extract air modules as well as lighting. It extends across the entire kitchen area, providing uniform, large-area capture of cooking vapours and fumes. Unlike individual kitchen hoods, extract air is not captured at individual points but across the entire ceiling area. This allows greater flexibility in the positioning of cooking appliances and provides more even air distribution throughout the room
When is a ventilated ceiling a better solution than a commercial kitchen hood?
A ventilation ceiling is particularly suitable for large kitchens, where multiple cooking stations need to be arranged flexibly or where the position of cooking appliances may change in the future. Ventilation ceilings are also a preferred choice for open show kitchens and prestigious hotel kitchens, as they provide a uniform, high-quality appearance. For individual cooking stations or smaller kitchens, commercial kitchen hoods are generally the more economical option.
What are the advantages of a REVEN ventilation ceiling?
REVEN ventilated ceilings combine several functions in a single integrated solution. They incorporate supply air, extract air and lighting within an enclosed ceiling system, offering a high degree of design flexibility. The patented X-CYCLONE® technology ensures reliable aerosol separation, with its performance scientifically verified in accordance with DIN EN 16282. The ceilings are also easy to clean, durable and designed for continuous professional use in commercial kitchens.
Can REVEN ventilation ceilings be customised?
REVEN ventilation ceilings are individually designed and manufactured for each project. Their size, shape and module configuration are adapted to the available space and the planned cooking zones. Visual aspects such as material selection, lighting and design elements can also be tailored to the overall kitchen concept. This makes our ventilated ceilings suitable for both functional large-scale commercial kitchens and sophisticated hotel and show kitchens.
How is a ventilated ceiling cleaned?
Ventilated ceilings are designed to be easy and hygienic to clean. The individual separation elements can be removed and, in most cases, cleaned in a dishwasher. The enclosed ceiling construction prevents grease and dirt from entering the ceiling void, significantly reducing cleaning requirements compared with open ceiling systems. In ventilation ceilings equipped with the integrated REVEX® spray system, cleaning is even carried out fully automatically.
