Blog article about Aerosol separation Keynote download

Separating aerosols our new keynote

Separating aerosols, why many systems fail. Many ventilation systems move air. But only a few actually manage to separate aerosols. This is a common misunderstanding:

👉 Air movement is not the same as air pollution control.

Because:
Aerosols are fine, light and follow the flow.
They cannot simply be “filtered out”, but must be separated in a targeted manner.

Aerosol separation explained in an understandable way the new keynote

On Friday, April 17, 2026, we showed in the cci REVEN Live Webinar how modern systems separate aerosols today.

The focus is on direct comparison:

  • Simple baffle plates
  • vs. flow-optimized X-Cyclone separators

👉 Objective: To clearly show which technology really works.

(The video recording of the webinar will be published here shortly)

The keynote clearly shows:

  • Why classic systems often do not separate aerosols
  • how flow is used in a targeted manner
  • and which solutions are state of the art today

👉 A key statement from this:
“It’s not about moving air – it’s about removing pollutants from it.”

Why is aerosol separation so difficult?

Aerosols behave differently from coarse particles:

  • they are very small
  • they stay in the air for a long time
  • they follow the current almost completely

Therefore, it is not enough to place obstacles in the air flow.

Simply redirecting the air does not automatically result in aerosols being separated.

Baffle plates vs. X-Cyclone – the decisive difference

1. baffle plates

  • work with air deflection
  • work with coarse particles
  • quickly reach their limits with fine aerosols

👉 Result:
Many aerosols remain in the air stream.

2. x-cyclone separator

  • use targeted flow control
  • generate defined forces on aerosols
  • ensure effective separation

👉 Result:
aerosols are separated much more reliably.

Standards clearly show: aerosol separation is mandatory

The regulations are also clear:
systems must be able to separate aerosols from the exhaust air.

This means in practice:

  • Air movement alone is not enough
  • Separation technology is crucial
  • Planning must be physically correct

Conclusion: Separating aerosols requires the right technology

Anyone who wants to separate aerosols today needs more than simple solutions.

👉 The decisive factor is the interaction between:

  • Flow
  • Geometry
  • physical understanding

The webinar clearly shows:
Not every system can really separate aerosols.
