A partnership with a pioneering technological spirit
For over two decades, REVEN GmbH from Sersheim and URtec GmbH from Schaffhausen have enjoyed a close and extremely successful partnership based on trust, innovation and a pioneering technological spirit. Around 21 years ago, Urs Reutimann and Sven Rentschler signed the dealership agreement, which not only marked the start of their cooperation, but also laid the foundations for a remarkable success story that continues to this day.
URtec stands for “Urs Reutimann Technologie ” – and this name is still the program today, because it stands for technological passion, precision and a deep understanding of the requirements of modern mechanical engineering.
Even at a young age, Urs Reutimann showed a pronounced enthusiasm for technology and perfect craftsmanship. For example, he built carbon canoes on his own and optimized his Kestrel triathlon bikes at the same time, proving early on how fascinated he was by precision, lightweight construction and aerodynamic thinking. With this passion, he found his ideal partner in Sven Rentschler, with whom he shared not only a belief in technology, but also the will to constantly improve.
Together, they gradually transferred this focus on innovation to the development of modern ventilation systems and air purifiers for mechanical engineering, gradually resulting in a collaboration that went far beyond a mere business relationship.
The combination of URtec GmbH’s mechanical engineering expertise and REVEN GmbH’s air purification technology quickly led to innovative solutions! A real win-win situation that has resulted in numerous impressive projects.
Our milestone: air purifier for IWC Schaffhausen
A particular highlight of the long-standing and trusting collaboration between URtec and REVEN is the impressive project at IWC Schaffhausen. The plant is still considered a prime example of modern air pollution control today.
When IWC, a company steeped in tradition, reached its spatial limits in the old town of Schaffhausen despite several expansions, the decision was finally made to build a completely new production facility. The clear aim was to combine state-of-the-art technology, maximum precision and sustainable working conditions.
URtec GmbH’s expertise and REVEN’s air purification technology were deliberately chosen, as both companies share the same standards of quality, efficiency and innovation. The entire machine park was consistently equipped with X-CYCLONE air purifiers from REVEN. This has created a state-of-the-art working environment in the new IWC production facility. This not only ensures clean air, but also safe working conditions and, in addition, particularly efficient production processes combined.
Thanks to this combination of Swiss precision and German engineering, a place has been created where technological excellence, sustainability and health work together in perfect harmony. A project that exemplifies how partnership-based cooperation can lead to real solutions for the future.
The next generation: Matthias Reutimann and Pascal Mark continue to lead URtec
Matthias Reutimann, the son of founder Urs Reutimann, joined the company around five years ago. He has since taken over the management of URtec GmbH together with Pascal Mark. Both are continuing the success story with the same energy, passion and innovative strength.
Matthias Reutimann is now a product manager for air purifiers in the Swiss mechanical engineering sector and looks after the whole of Switzerland. As a former member of the Swiss elite canoe slalom national team, he also brings sporting ambition and technical precision to his professional career.
In an interview on the Inside REVEN blog, Matthias provided exciting insights into his motivation and personality. His attitude is particularly inspiring:
