REVEN kitchen hoods with the new induction technology – patent published
The induction technology for kitchen hoods further developed by REVEN has been confirmed as a new patent by the European and US patent offices without opposition. In most sectors of industry, continuous further development of products and technical solutions is an absolute prerequisite.
The induction system for kitchen hoods is a well-known technology that has been intensively researched by REVEN in recent years. State-of-the-art technologies such as CFD analysis (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and aerosol particle measurement technology have been used. In other words, very similar and intensive efforts were made to significantly improve a technology, just as has been the case in the automotive industry for over 100 years, with correspondingly impressive results.
What is the advantage of REVEN kitchen hoods with induction technology compared to conventional kitchen hoods?
Here is another illustration with a conventional kitchen hood for comparison. It should be noted, as explained in the YouTube video above, that conventional kitchen hoods only capture and extract cooking vapors within a range of 30 centimeters around the filters!
Of course, such complex investigations using CFD take a lot of time and such things swallow up considerable sums in research and development, but they also lead to serious improvements!
The REVEN kitchen hood with induction technology further developed by Reven was certified as follows in an expert opinion by the agricultural consultancy of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern:
“By blowing in supply air that is not at the same temperature as the room air, the dew point in the mixed air area is reached, particularly at low outside temperatures, and condensation occurs. However, condensation also always means the binding of odorous substances from the air, as olfactometric measurements of the exhaust air in the sample bag have shown.”
REVEN kitchen hoods with induction technology not only have improved detection, but also more efficient air purification through condensation!
An induction airflow ensures that the entire exhaust air is captured and driven through the separators. In addition, it cools the captured exhaust air and fosters the condensation of vapour molecules at the separator. This increases the efficiency of the separation. These positive properties of such advanced induction technology can only be enjoyed if the entire “kitchen hood” system has been truly understood and researched, from the aerosol separator to the thermal and induction flow. Other manufacturers in this field use simple thermal imaging, call it CFD analysis and derive pseudo-scientific results from it. Like their products, this may be a cost-effective solution and approach, but it is certainly not a real technological leap forward!
