The latest research leads to surprising results! The highly polished surfaces on kitchen filters for extractor hoods do not work!  <\/h3>\n\n<p>You wouldn&#8217;t believe it! Flow analyses on kitchen filters clearly show that a highly polished surface has a serious negative impact on filter performance. How can this be? The golfers of St Andrews recognized the answer to this question over 100 years ago! You don&#8217;t believe that? But it&#8217;s true!     <\/p>\n\n<p>Over 100 years ago, golfers at the venerable St Andrews Golf Club recognized an extremely curious property in their old golf balls. This property can also be observed in an amazing way in <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reven.de\/2021\/03\/29\/verbotene-kuechenfilter-aus-metallgestrick\/\" title=\"Forbidden kitchen filters made from metal mesh\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"171\">kitchen filters<\/a> for kitchen hoods. What are these identical properties?  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-luftstromungen-an-der-oberflache-eines-golfballes-ahneln-denen-an-der-oberflache-von-kuchenfilter\">Air currents on the surface of a golf ball are similar to those on the surface of kitchen filters<\/h3>\n\n<p>Not only should the air flows on the surfaces be similar, but the surface structure of the material should also be similar. Golf balls are known as dimples. What does that look like, or what should it look like on the surface of modern kitchen filters? This is the reason why the surfaces of modern golf balls are characterized by dimples.
