These high-precision machine tools enable the production of complex components with high accuracy and efficiency. A key challenge here is controlling the large quantities of steam generated during the machining process. Effective steam control in CNC machining is therefore essential to ensure worker safety and optimize machine performance.   <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-warum-entsteht-so-viel-dampf-in-der-cnc-bearbeitung\"><br\/>Why is there so much steam in CNC machining?<\/h3>\n\n<p>High speeds and high cutting forces are applied during machining with CNC machines. Coolants and lubricants are used to dissipate the resulting heat and minimize friction. These substances partially evaporate due to the high temperatures and leave behind a dense cloud of steam, especially when the processing machine is opened. Firstly, it poses a health risk to workers. Contact with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reven.de\/2022\/02\/15\/verdampfte-kuehl-schmierstoffe-kondensieren\/\" title=\"Evaporated coolants and lubricants condense!&#xA0;\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"243\">vaporized coolants and lubricants<\/a> can cause respiratory problems and skin irritation. Secondly, the steam can obstruct the operator&#8217;s vision, which can lead to errors or accidents. Thirdly, the vapor settles on machine surfaces and in the workshop environment, making cleanliness and maintenance more difficult.    <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-massnahmen-zur-effektiven-dampfkontrolle\"><br\/>Measures for effective vapor control<\/h3>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Installation of high-performance ventilation systems:<\/strong> A high-performance ventilation system is essential to extract steam quickly and efficiently. These systems should be installed directly at the CNC machines to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reven.de\/en\/technologies\/technologies-for-fume-capture\/\" title=\"Technologies for Fume Capture\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"242\">capture<\/a> steam emissions at source. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Regular machine maintenance:<\/strong> Well-maintained machines work more efficiently and produce less excess steam. Regular inspection and maintenance of the machines also reduces the risk of leaks and other problems that can lead to excessive steam formation. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Use environmentally friendly coolants and lubricants:<\/strong> Choosing coolants and lubricants that are less harmful to health and more environmentally friendly can reduce the negative effects of vapor on workers and the surrounding environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Employee training:<\/strong> It is important that employees are aware of the correct procedures for handling and venting steam.
